Here is our view on the inclusion of Outdoor Retailer Giant in the new Santa Fe Railyard project. Come on down REI! Like all Giants, one well placed rock, in this case the provincial town of Santa Fe, will bring them down. I read with amusement the letters from the Developers, designed to rationalize their million dollar commisions all the while the promise of cheap goods to the consumers. Has anyone considered that an independent outdoor stores  sets prices based on the same suggested retail that is constantly set on the World Wide Web.
    Many years ago, it was possible for a store to set prices based on supply and demand, such as the Developer’s family did 400 hundred years ago with the Snake Oil they sold. So why do some want to see the last independent retailers in Santa Fe go down in flames with only the Banks and Developers winning?  Quien sabe. Compare with Malwart and Save!
 

     Sometimes you just have to go play in the snow. Happy New Year to all of our faithful bloggers. Rio says that even with Musher’s Secret Wax on and dog booties, this snow requires a dog snowshoe.
